Frieda Fromm-Reichmann

Frieda Fromm-Reichmann (1889 - 1957) fue una psiquiatra alemana contemporánea de Sigmund Freud, quien emigró a los Estados Unidos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

Su paciente más famosa, Joanne Greenberg, escribió una autobiografía novelada, I Never Promised You a Rose Garden, en un hospital mental.

Fromm-Reichmann acuñó la expresión madre "esquizógena" que influenciaría al movimiento antipsiquiátrico. Colaboró estrechamente en institutos psicoanalíticos en Nueva York, con Erich Fromm, Clara Thompson, Harry Stack Sullivan, David Rioch y Janet Rioch.
