Grand Rapids (Míchigan)

Grand Rapids es una ciudad del estado de Míchigan. Según el censo de 2000, la población se estimaba en 197.800 habitantes. Constituye el centro administrativo del condado de Kent, la segunda ciudad más grande del estado (después de Detroit) y la principal de la región de West Michigan. En esta ciudad nació el actor Taylor Daniel Lautnery el cantante Anthony Kiedis y mi carnal Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Geografía

Grand Rapids se asienta a las orillas del Grand River, a una altitud de 185,928 msnm y a unos 50 km al este del lago Míchigan. La capital del estado, Lansing, se encuentra a 100 km al este-sudeste y Kalamazoo a 80 km al sur.

Tiene un área total de 117,4 km². 115,6 km² es tierra y 1,8 km² es agua (principalmente el Grand River).
