Guelph (AFI: gwɛlf) es una ciudad situada en la provincia de Ontario, Canadá. Está situada a 100 km al oeste de Toronto. Tiene una población de 114.943 habitantes.[1]

Historia

Guelph es uno de los primeros pueblos planificados canadienses, elegido como sede de la firma británica Canada Company para desarollar la zona y sus alrededores.[2] Desafortunadamente, no tuvo exito y el pueblo no creció hasta la llegada del tren de Toronto.

Educación

La ciudad cuenta con la Universidad de Guelph, una universidad pública dedicada a la instrucción de carreras de pregrado, postgrado, así como a la investigación científica.

Personajes de renombre

Marco marquitos, un mitico torero español que se dedica a ontar anecdotas no del todo creibles a los jovenes estudiantes que rondan por downtown. El siempre esta dispuesto a contarte algo y hacer unos pases de torero con mucho arte.

Estudiantes

Este pueblo esta casi siempre lleno de estudiantes españoles de cls y kells , haciendo gamberradas y haciendo el loco en un puente.
