Idiosyncrasy o Idiosyncrazy (イディオシンクレーヅ) es una banda Visual kei que recuerda al estilo barroco, tiene mezcla de hard rock, punk, pop, opera, pero cada vez introduce mas metal. Con fama entre el movimiento Visual Kei, es una de las bandas con mayor éxito dentro del rock japonés.

Historia

Comienzos

Amber (voz), Virgin (bajista y líder) y Meztli (voz ópera, piano, arpa) se conocían por su anterior trabajo en Aristocrasy. Dark Red (batería) junto con Ivory (guitarra) se unen al grupo justo antes de lanzar su primer trabajo a la venta. De esta forma, Idiosyncrasy estaba ya formado a finales de 2001. En enero de 2002 realizan su primera gira por Japón y en febrero de ese año sacan su primer single "You’re an Angel" junto con dos vídeos promocionales. Entre los meses de junio y julio lanzan singles mas un nuevo DVD.

En junio de 2003 comienza su gira Deep and Hot Love. Los tres siguientes meses Idiosyncrasy sacan tres maxi singles nuevos y en fin de año un nuevo mini álbum. La popularidad del grupo aumentó de manera fabulosa durante esos meses.

Éxitos

El día 30 de diciembre de ese mismo año tienen participación en un gran concierto compartiendo escenario con grandes bandas del mundo del Visual kei. Gracias a este evento, el 5 de mayo de 2005 realizan su primer concierto en Shibuya AX; el show es registrado y el 6 de julio de 2005 sale a la venta un DVD con el contenido de dicho concierto, titulado "Passion".

El 9 de marzo sacan el maxi single de Idiosyncrasy con mayor popularidad: "Oui-HA". Su segundo álbum, “Delirious Obsession”, que salió el 30 de marzo, consigue alcanzar el puesto 10 de las listas de rankings de popularidad de la semana. El 9 de marzo del 2007 sacan un nuevo maxi single, "Delirious Obsession". El 3 de agosto, "Music From Heaven" y para finales del 2006 el maxi single "Melon Boy". El 4 de julio de 2007 fue el lanzamiento de el más reciente full álbum de Idiosyncrasy, "Identity Crisis". Hubo dos versiones: la limitada (con DVD) y la normal. En el se pueden notar cambios en algunos elementos de su estilo con respecto a sus trabajos anteriores. Como presentación del disco, se incluía un DVD doble que contenía dos nuevos pv's: "Excitng Entertainment System", lanzado el 14 de junio, el cual formaba parte de la banda sonora del videojuego nipón “Heaven Barriers”, y el pv "Lyrics Feelings", que con melodía triste, se lanzó simultáneamente junto el CD "Identity Crisis". También se lanzó un DVD de su más reciente concierto en vivo, llamado “Done with Heart just for Money”.

Finalmente sus más recientes sencillos: "Exciting Entertainment Sistem”, “Kaimono” y “The Eyes of The Rose”, salieron a la venta con gran aceptación de su público en general. Un nuevo álbum llamado "TIME OF SALVATION" será expuesto a la venta el 1 de Enero del 2008.
