Se denomina así a cualquier inflamación que afecte al íleon (parte final del intestino delgado) y al colon (intestino grueso), de manera simultánea. Puede ser causada por muchas enfermedades, destacando las infecciones, la tuberculosis y la enfermedad de Crohn.
