Malakhim en el Ensueño de Jacob

Un Malakh (plural Malakhim) es un ángel mensajero que aparece repetidamente en la Biblia Hebrea, la literatura Rabínica y en la liturgia judía tradicional. En hebreo moderno, mal'akh es el término general empleado para designar ángel.

Etimología

El término hebreo Mal'akh (מַלְאָךְ) deriva de la raíz semítica consonantal l-'-k (ל-א-ך), que significa enviar. Esta raíz está presente en el idioma hebreo solamente en este sustantivo y en el sustantivo Melakha (מְלָאכָה), que significa trabajo.
