Mark Embree es un profesor estadounidense de análisis numérico en el departamento de Matemáticas Aplicadas [1] en la Universidad de Rice.

Sus intereses académicos son principalmente métodos de subespacios de Krylov, operadores no-normales, teoría de perturbación espectral, matrices Toeplitz, matrices aleatorias y operadores de onda amortiguados.

Mark Embree fue galardonado como el Hombre del Año y Estudiante Sobresaliente en 1996 en el colegio de artes y ciencia en el Tecnológico de Virginia, Estados Unidos. También recibió la prestigiosa beca de Rhodes Scholar en 1996.
