SINOPSIS: Una joven ladrona de joyas se enamora del detective que persigue a sus socios. A punto de ser asesinado, ella no duda en salvarle. La banda entonces, decide vengarse. La muchacha y el detective se ven obligados a huir de sus enemigos y se refugian en el número 17 de una calle en los suburbios de Londres. Los ladrones saben que en esta casa está escondido un collar muy valioso, del cual finalmente se apoderan. Para no ser descubiertos, intentan escapar a Francia obligando a la joven a huir con ellos.
