Zones (banda)

The Zones fue una banda de estilos punk y power pop, formada en 1977 por todos los miembros de PVC2, excepto Midge Ure, quien los había dejado para formar The Rich Kids, al lado de Glen Matlock, ya ex bajista de los Sex Pistols.

La banda consistía en Willie Gardner (voz y guitarra), Russell Webb (bajo), Billy McIsaac (teclado) y Kenny Hyslop (batería).

Lanzaron algunos singles, destacando entre ellos "Stuck With You" y su lado B "No Angels" en 1978, y "Under Influence" (Arista) su único álbum. Además, grabaron sesiones para John Peel en ese mismo 1978.

La banda no tuvo el éxito esperado, y se separó. Webb y Hyslop se integrarían luego a The Skids, y después el primero a The Armoury Show y Public Image Ltd. y el otro a Simple Minds; no se volvería a saber más de McIsaac hasta 1995, cuando forma Billy McIsaac Band, un destacado grupo musical de ceremonias; y Gardner se haría solista temporalmente, y luego formaría Endgames.
