Argumento

Un joven jugador de fútbol americano, Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron), en su etapa adolescente tiene que superar numerosos problemas familiares y económicos antes de que el destino le llevara a lograr convertirse en una prometedora figura del fútbol. Leigh Anne Touhy (Sandra Bullock), una mujer rica acogerá a Oher en su hogar cuando éste era un sin techo, ofreciéndole de este modo una valiosa oportunidad para salir adelante. Leigh Anne Touhy contrata a una profesora particular, la Sra. Sue (Kathy Bates), con la intención de que la ayude a educar al muchacho.
