El bienteveo guayanés (Conopias parva),[2] también denominado suelda gargantiamarilla, mosquero blanquianillado y atrapamoscas diadema,[3] es una especie de ave paseriforme de la familia Tyrannidae que vive en Sudamérica. Esta especie fue escindida del bienteveo del Chocó (Conopias albovittata), del que se consideraba una subespecie hasta 2006, debido a las diferencias genéticas encontradas entre ambas.[4]

Descripción

El bienteveo guayanés mide una media de 16,5 cm de largo y pesa alrededor de 21 g.[5] Su cabeza es negra y está rodeada por una lista superciliar blanca que une sus extremos tanto por delante como por detrás. Su espalda es pardo olivácea y sus alas y cola son pardo grisáceas, mientras que sus partes inferiores son de color amarillo intenso. Tiene un pico relativamente largo, recto y puntiagudo de color negro.

Distribución y hábitat

Se encuentra en Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Ecuador, la Guayana francesa, Guyana, Perú, Surinam y Venezuela.[1]

Su hábitat natural es la canopia de las selvas húmedas tropicales de regiones bajas y las laderas de montes hasta los 1.300 metros de altitud.[5]
