Virginia "Ginni" M. Rometty, es Vicepresidente Senior de Ventas y Ejecutiva del Grupo de Marketing y Estrategia de IBM. El 1 de enero de 2012,[1] Rometty asumirá presidente y de ésta manera será la primer mujer en ocupar ése cargo en la empresa. Fue nombrada en la revista Fortune "50 mujeres más poderosas en los negocios" durante siete años consecutivos, ocupa el puesto número 7 en 2011.

Biografía

En 1979 se graduó con altos honores, recibiendo una licenciatura en ciencias de la computación y la ingeniería eléctrica del Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science en Northwestern University.

En 1981 comenzó a trabajar para IBM.[2]
