Es una de las principales compañías especialistas en proyectos integrales de tecnologías de la información (TI) para el sector salud. iSOFT opera en los cinco continentes, trabajando con más de 13.000 organizaciones sanitarias en el desarrollo y evolución de sus proyectos TIC para la mejora continua de la calidad asistencial que ofrecen a sus pacientes.

Historia

iSOFT se fundó en Sídney (Australia) en 1982 y actualmente es la mayor compañía de tecnologías de la información que cotiza en la bolsa australiana (ASX). Mediante fusiones, adquisiciones y crecimiento orgánico, la compañía ha logrado posicionarse en los cinco continentes, con sede en 20 países. En 1993 nació su filial en España, concretamente en Málaga[1] , donde actualmente tiene su sede en el Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía, y desde donde se da cobertura a las zonas geográficas del Sur de Europa y Latinoamérica[2] . iSOFT contribuye al impulso de eHealth (también conocido como eSalud) con una serie de soluciones TI que cubren todas las áreas asistenciales y constituyen una solución global para todo tipo de organizaciones sanitarias, incorporando funcionalidades clínicas, administrativas y de gestión, junto a herramientas de interoperabilidad clínica que facilitan la interconexión entre diferentes servicios, departamentos, áreas y sistemas de salud. Sus sistemas de información cubren, entre otros segmentos, atención hospitalaria y especializada, atención primaria, receta electrónica[3] , urgencias y gestión de organizaciones sanitarias.
