Biografía

Nacida en Hornsey, un distrito de Londres, Inglaterra, actuó en más de 130 filmes entre 1919 y 1958.

En su inicio ante el público daba recitales, y su debut interpretativo como actriz teatral tuvo lugar en 1908 en el Teatro Aldwych. En 1913 se hizo cargo de la gestión del Teatro Ambassadors, dedicando varios años a la actividad teatral en Inglaterra y el Reino Unido antes de empezar a actuar en producciones cinematográficas en Hollywood.

Mary Forbes falleció en 1974 en Beaumont (California). Sus hijos Ralph y Brenda fueron también actores.
