The Force es una banda de Thrash metal de Asunción, Paraguay formada en el 2007 luego de la separación de Overlord.

Historia

The Force se formó en marzo del 2007, luego de la separación del grupo Overlord, Mike Martínez (Guitarra y Voz) y Sebass Román (Bajo) comienzan a buscar integrantes para la formación de una nueva banda de Thrash Metal. Al Principio contaron con Miky Doldán en la batería, pero luego de unos meses es reemplazado por Cesar Ferreira que también provenía de Overlord. En la otra guitarra ingresa Carlos Carvallo y con esa formación empiezan a tocar por el circuito underground de Paraguay, compartiendo escenario con bandas locales e Internacionales. En diciembre del 2007 el grupo lanza su primer demo-cd “Old School Metal Onslaught” con 4 temas del más puro y tradicional Thrash Metal. Este demo tuvo muy buen recibimiento, tal es así que al mes de ser lanzado, la compañía KILL AGAIN RECORDS de Brasil ofrece al grupo un contrato por 3 álbumes. Sin perder tiempo la banda entra a grabar lo que sería su primer Cd oficial, “Possessed by Metal” el cual fue lanzado en diciembre del 2008 y que tuvo muy buenas críticas en la prensa metálica mundial, incluso fue elegido como mejor álbum de Thrash Metal de 2008 por la radio Thrash Unlimited de Estados Unidos. Sufren nuevos cambios en la formación cuando salen Sebass y Cesar, los cuales son reemplazados por Juan Barrios en el Bajo, (Otro ex integrante de Overlord) y Luis Almada en la batería (Defrente)Durante el 2009 se embarcan en una gira que los lleva a tocar por ciudades de Bolivia, Brasil y el interior de Paraguay. Ya en el 2010 comienzan a trabajar en el segundo cd, y también se produce un nuevo cambio en la formación, saliendo Luis Almada e ingresando Bruno Romero a la batería. Con esta formación THE FORCE se presenta en Argentina, en las ciudades de San Miguel y Buenos Aires, con un saldo muy positivo, ganando nuevos fans. El grupo también participa con tres temas en vivo del cd Split “THIRSTY OF METAL” lanzado por el sello colombiano “Violent Music". Ahora el nuevo albúm “NATIONS UNDER ATTACK” está a punto de ser lanzado, con 8 temas del característico asalto de puro Thrash metal con toque de N.W.O.B.H.M de The Force.
