The Union[1] (también conocida como U.P.Y.O.U.R.S.: Union of People You OUghta Respect, Son) fue un stable de lucha libre profesional consistente en los antiguos miembros de The Corporation Ken Shamrock, The Big Show y Test junto con Mankind, y más tarde dirigidos por Vince McMahon.

Historia

Los miembros del stable se unieron porque se sentían tratados injustam,ente al haber sido expulsado de The Corporation cuando en ella Shane McMahon usurpó el mando a su padre, Vince. El grupo se formó el 3 de mayo, cuatro días antes de la fusión del Ministry of Darkness de Undertaker con The Corporation en el Corporate Ministry.

Los cuatro miembros del equipo no estaban solos en su feudo con Corporate Ministry. Vince McMahon lideró The Union y consiguió el apoyo de luchadores como The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin y el Comisionado Shawn Michaels, enemigos comunes de Corporate Ministry.

En Over the Edge, The Union derrotó al equipo de Corporate Ministry consistent en en The Acolytes, Viscera y Big Boss Man en un Elimination Match.[2]

El 31 de mayo, Mankind recibió una golpiza a martillazos a manos de Triple H, por lo que pasó a la inactividad.[3] En realidad, Foley recibió cirugía por las lesione sufridas en Survivor Series[4] y St. Valentine's Day Massacre,[5] por lo que no volvió a luchar hasta agosto de 1999. La siguiente semana, McMahon se reveló como el "Poder Superior" que guiaba al Ministry of Darkness, y poco más tarde el stable se desbandó.
