Gloria Jean Watkins (nacida el 25 de Septiembre de 1952 en Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Estados Unidos), conocida como bell hooks (escrito en minúsculas)[1] es una prolífica escritora y activista feminista.
Sus trabajos se centran principalmente en el estudio de sistemas de dominación y opresión, en particular aquellos asociados a la imbricación de aspectos tales como la raza, la clase social y el género.
Ha publicado más de treinta libros y gran cantidad de artículos académicos, así como participado en multitud de ponencias. Además ha realizado varias breves apariciones en documentales.
