CSS es una técnica introducida por Farzin Mokhtarian que combina diversos algoritmos para analizar las imágenes a diferentes escalas. Es uno de los mejores estimadores conocidos, y ha sido adoptado como técnica estándar integrante de MPEG-7 para la clasificación automática de imágenes.
