Doris Gibson

Doris Gibson Parra del Riego, (*Lima, 28 de abril de 1910 - † 23 de agosto de 2008.) fue una periodista peruana. Hija del poeta Percy Gibson, fundó la revista Caretas en 1950.

Biografía

Hija de arequipeños, nació en la calle Orejuelas en Lima impidiendo que su madre, Mercedes Parra del Riego, pudiera abordar un barco en el Callao con destino a Mollendo (Arequipa). Fue bautizada el 5 de junio en la Parroquia de "San Sebastián". Contrajo matrimonio con el diplomático argentino Manlio Zileri Larco en 1931, teniendo un único hijo, Enrique. En 1950, junto con Francisco Igartua, funda la revista Caretas, la cual se convertiría con el transcurso de las décadas en la revista de investigación de referencia en el Perú.
