Millard Fillmore (7 de enero de 1800 - 8 de marzo de 1874) fue el décimo tercer Presidente de los Estados Unidos. Terminó el mandato de su predecesor Zachary Taylor, que falleció a consecuencia de una gastroenteritis o un ataque al corazón. Fue miembro del Partido Whig y del Partido Anti-Masónico.

Biografía

Millard Fillmore nació en el Condado de Cayuga, estado de Nueva York. Fue el segundo hijo un total de nueve del matrimonio entre Nathniel Fillmore y Phoebe Millard, y el mayor de los varones.[1] Se casó el 26 de febrero de 1826 con Abigail Powers, a quien conoció mientras estudiaba en la Academia New Hope.[2]

Fue abogado, miembro del Congreso y Vicepresidente de Estados Unidos.
