George Cruikshank (Bloomsbury, Londres, 27 de septiembre de 1792 - 1 de febrero de 1878) fue un caricaturista e ilustrador inglés. Hijo del también caricaturista escocés Isaac Cruikshank. El artista fue conocido por su sátira y sus grandes trabajos en la ilustración de diversos libros ingleses concernientes a la política y la sociedad.

Biografía

George comenzó su larga carrera con impresos políticos que atacaban a la familia real y otros importantes personajes políticos. Continuó creando caricaturas sociales acerca de la vida británica para populares publicaciones como The Comic Almanack (1835-1853) y Omnibus (1842). Más tarde durante su carrera, creó su propia publicación, y su libro de ilustraciones para Charles Dickens y otros autores alcanzó una audiencia internacional.
