Gough Whitlam.

Gough Whitlam (*1916, en Kew, Victoria) es un político australiano. Fue electo Primer Ministro en 1972.

Durante su gobierno, eliminó el servicio militar obligatorio, abolió la pena de muerte, promulgó leyes en favor de los aborígenes australianos y realizó otras importantes reformas de carácter social.

Fue destituido por el Gobernador General John Kerr tras una crisis constitucional en 1975. Fue derrotado en las subsiguientes elecciones de 1975 y 1977, tras lo cual renuncio al liderazgo de su partido.
