Haptotaxis

Haptotaxis es la motilidad direccional, o ectocrecimiento de las células, e.g. en el caso del ectocrecimiento del axón, usualmente hacia un gradiente de sitios de adhesión celular o enlaces de sustratos quimioatrayentes (quimiotaxis). Esos gradientes se presentan naturalmente en la matriz extracelular (ECM) del cuerpo durante procesos tales como angiogénesis, o artificialmente en biomateriales, donde se establece un gradiente por alteración de la concentración de sitios de adhesión, sobre un sustrato polímero.[1] [2]
