Image Comics
Decimoquinto aniversario de Image Comics, celebrado en Comic-Con 2007. De izquierda a derecha McFarlane, Larsen, Valentino, Silvestri, Liefeld y Portacio. El séptimo fundador es Jim Lee que no aparece en la foto pero se encuentra a la derecha de McFarlane.

Image Comics es una editorial independiente estadounidense, dedicada a la publicación y distribución de historietas, fundada en el año 1992 por siete artistas: Todd McFarlane, Erik Larsen, Jim Valentino, Marc Silvestri, Rob Liefeld, Whilce Portacio y Jim Lee, este ultimo, creó el sello Wilstorm Studios, de propiedad de Image que luego fue cedido a DC Comics. en su reemplazo, fue creado el sello editorial Top Cow.

Image Comics es una empresa donde los artistas pueden publicar su material sin necesidad de ceder su derecho de autor de los personajes que crean.

Entre sus series más conocidas se encuentran Spawn, The Darkness, The Walking Dead, Gen13, WildCats, Witchblade, Kiss: Psycho Circus, Tortugas Ninja, The Creech, The Maxx, Liberty Meadows, Groo, etc.

Todd McFarlane trató de registrar para si a Venom, personaje creado para Spiderman, en un esfuerzo nulo por mantener los derechos de propiedad. El éxito de Image Comics cambió significativamente la posición del creador dentro de la industria de historietas.
