KHSC originalmente se inició como KHST en el canal 66, y posteriormente pasó a ser KHSC-LP en el canal 38, antes de trasladarse al canal 16.

La sigla KHSC (que proviene de Home Shopping Club) fue originalmente utilizada por la estación adquirida y operada por Home Shopping Network en Los Ángeles (y que transmite en el canal 46) entre mediados de los años 80 y 2002, cuando fue vendida a Univisión y se convirtió en KFTR-TV, afiliada a Telefutura.
