Matthew J. Holman (nacido en 1967) es un astrofísico del Observatorio de Astrofísica Smithsonian y conferenciante en la Universidad de Harvard. Holman estudió en el Instituto Tecnológico de Massachusetts, donde recibió su título de grado en Matemáticas en 1989 y su PhD en ciencias planetarias en 1994.

Forma parte de un equipo que ha descubierto numerosos satélites irregulares de Júpiter, Saturno (Albiorix), Urano (Próspero, Setebos, Stefano, Trínculo, Margarita, Francisco, Ferdinando) y Neptuno (Halimede, Sao, Laomedeia, Neso).
