Porter es un cráter de impacto de grandes proporciones del planeta Marte situado al este del cráter Brashear, a 50.8° sur y 113.9º oeste. El impacto causó un boquete de 105.0 kilómetros de diámetro. El nombre fue aprobado en 1973 por la Unión Astronómica Internacional, en honor al astrónomo y explorador norteamericano Russell W. Porter (1871 - 1949).[1]
