Restaurant Empire es un videojuego de estrategia y simulación de negocios para PC llevado a cabo por el estudio chino Enlight Software en 2003, bajo la batuta del prestigioso desarrollador Trevor Chan. Se centra en la habilidad del jugador para iniciar y mantener exitosamente un negocio de restauración en cualquiera de las ciudades reflejadas en la partida.

Sinopsis y características

Restaurant Empire reta al jugador a aprender paso a paso todos los requisitos necesarios para llegar a ser un gran restaurador. Este juego propone construir, decorar y dirigir nuestro propio restaurante y conseguir una cadena de negocios en la ciudad. Desde su lanzamiento, el título ha sido un récord de ventas mundiales, con más de 500.000 de copias vendidas en todo el planeta, según GfK. La versión española fue publicada por Zeta Multimedia en 2003 y fue reeditado por Planeta DeAgostini Interactive en 2006.

  • Dos modalidades de juego: tutorial, con 18 escenarios, o partida libre.
  • 3 ciudades donde instalar el negocio: París, Roma y Los Ángeles.
  • 190 recetas y 3 especialidades: cocina francesa, italiana y americana.
  • 40 cocineros a elegir, con los que se puede interactuar e intercambiar recetas únicas.
  • 4 tipos de restaurante: marisquería, asador, italiano y francés.
  • Más de 200 elementos decorativos para adornar el restaurante creado.

Restaurant Empire II

Enlight ha preparado para 2009 la segunda parte del juego. Esta entrega ofrece 16 misiones nuevas que giran entorno del matrimonio Lebouf, una pareja que pretende triunfar como restauradores mientras compaginan su vida privada. En España, Planeta DeAgostini Interactive se ha encargado de su adaptación y distribución desde marzo de 2009.
