Schism es una canción de la banda de metal progresivo Tool. Es su primer sencillo y vídeo de su tercer álbum de larga duración Lateralus. En 2002, Tool ganó el Grammy de "mejor interpretación del Metal" por esta canción.

Schism salió a la venta el 20 de diciembre del 2005 en sencillo DVD junto con el sencillo DVD de "Parabola", el cual contiene el vídeo, un comentario doble hecho por David Yow, y un remix hecho por Lustmord.

Esta canción es un perfecto ejemplo del uso de Tool de compases poco comunes en su música, haciéndola muy compleja. En vista más detallada de esto, el riff principal está en un compás alternado de 5/8 + 7/8, mientras en el interludio se utilizan un patrón de compases 6/8 + 6/8 + 6/8 + 3/8 + 3/4, y muchos otros cambios de compás. La banda dijo cómicamente que la canción está en 6.5/8.

Esta canción es jugable en Guitar Hero World Tour, al igual que «Parabola» y «Vicarious».
