"Song 2" es una canción del grupo británico de rock alternativo Blur, el segundo sencillo de su quinto álbum, el homónimo Blur. Aunque la canción parece un homenaje a la banda de indie rock Pavement, el sonido es más similar al grunge de Nirvana, y es considerado más bien una parodia de su estilo por algunos comentaristas musicales.[1]

Damon Albarn mencionó durante la presentación en directo de la canción en Dublín en junio de 1996 This one's called 'Song 2', 'cos we haven't got a name for it yet (esta se llama Canción 2, porque no hemos encontrado un título todavía). Sin embargo, el título de trabajo quedó asociado a la canción, coincidiendo con que es el segundo corte del álbum, el segundo sencillo en publicarse, que alcanzó el número 2 en las listas británicas y que dura exactamente dos minutos y dos segundos.

Apariciones en los medios

Entre otras apariciones, esta canción salió en la presentación del videojuego FIFA 98, la película Los ángeles de Charlie, así como en sendos episodios de Los Simpson y South Park. También es una de las canciones que se puede interpretar en los videojuegos Guitar Hero 5 y Lego Rock Band, además de ser contenido descargable en Just Dance 2. Aparece también en un tráiler de la película animada Hop. [1]
