The xx es una banda del suroeste de Londres, Inglaterra, formada en 2005. La componen 4 veinteañeros que se conocieron en el Elliott School, notorio por haber dado grupos como Hot Chip, Burial y Four Tet. En The Future 50 list de New Musical Express ( NME ) ocuparon el puesto 6 en 2009. Su albúm de debut xx fue editado el 17 de agosto de 2009 en el sello Young Turks Records. Aunque la banda trabajó con Diplo y Kwes este trabajo fue producido por ellos mismos. El grupo ha estado de gira con The Big Pink y Micachu. Su single Crystalised fue presentado como Single de la semana en el iTunes inglés.

En Directo

El grupo actuó en 2009 en los Reading and Leeds Festivals en el espacio de mediodia. Regalaron camisetas con su logo (una 'x'), como agradecimiento por ir a verles aunque estuvieran "compitiendo con Chipmunk y Lethal Bizzle". El grupo tiene programado acompañar a Florence and the Machine en su gira durante septiembre de 2009, antes de embarcarse en la suya en octubre.
