"Woman" es una canción compuesta e interpretada por el músico británico John Lennon a modo de oda a su mujer, Yōko Ono. En la introducción, John susurra: "For the other half of the sky" (que puede traducirse como "para la otra mitad del cielo"), expresión acuñada por Mao.

En una entrevista para la revista musical Rolling Stone concedida el 5 de diciembre de 1980, Lennon declaró que "Woman" era una "versión madura de "Girl".[1]

"Woman" fue el segundo sencillo extraído del álbum de 1980 Double Fantasy, y el primero publicado tras la muerte de Lennon el 8 de diciembre de 1980. La cara B del sencillo es el tema "Beautiful Boys" de Yōko Ono. El sencillo debutó en el puesto #3 en las listas de singles del Reino Unido, moviéndose a la siguiente semana al puesto #2 para alcanzar finalmente el puesto #1, donde pasaría dos semanas. En Estados Unidos, el sencillo pasaría tres semanas en el puesto #2.

La progresión del coro al comienzo de la canción fue usado por Michael Jackson en el tema de 1991 "Black or White".

Ozzy Osbourne grabó una versión de "Woman" para el álbum recopilatorio de 2005 Under Cover.
