LOICZ

Interacciones Tierra Mar en la Zona Costera (Land Ocean Interactions in the Coastal Zon, abreviado: LOICZ) es un proyecto básico de la Internacional de la Geosfera y la Biosfera (IGBP) y el Programa Internacional de Dimensiones Humanas del Cambio Ambiental Global (IHDP).

LOICZ emprende la investigación que aborda cuestiones claves de la costa el cambio y uso, en el contexto de escenarios de futuro de la actividad humana y el cambio ambiental. Promueve la investigación de las zonas costeras y se aplica de base, especialmente la que sintetiza y se intensifican los resultados para su difusión entre la comunidad científica, los responsables políticos y el público. Entre las principales actividades hasta la fecha incluyen el desarrollo de herramientas y bases de datos en apoyo de la clasificación (tipología) de los ecosistemas costeros, incluida la base de datos del medio ambiente y el sitio web LOICZ presupuesto biogeoquímicos.[1]
