"Country House" (en castellano, Casa de Campo) es una canción de la banda inglesa de Britpop, Blur. Se lanzó como el primer y principal sencillo del álbum The Great Escape el 14 de agosto de 1995. "Country House" fue el primero de dos sencillos de Blur en llegar al primer puesto en los UK Singles Chart (el segundo sería "Beetlebum", en 1997). Esta canción trata sobre un hombre que se muda a una cara casa de campo, para escapar de las presiones de la ciudad. En una entrevista para el South Bank Show, Damon Albarn explicó que fue inspirado por el antiguo manager de Blur, Dave Balfe, quien dejó Food Records (la discográfica de Blur) y se compró una casa de campo. La portada del sencillo contiene una imagen del Castillo de Neuschwanstein en Bavaria (la imagen está rotada horizontalmente).

La canción recibió mucha atención cuando la discográfica de Blur, Food Records, movió la fecha original de estreno del sencillo para que sea el mismo día que el sencillo de Oasis, Roll With It. La prensa británica reportó una intensa rivalidad entre estas dos bandas, y este choque de estrenos fue denominado "la batalla por el puesto número uno". "Country House" ganó, dándole a Blur la victoria de la batalla del Britpop ("Roll With It" quedó en el segundo puesto, con ligeramente menores ventas). Pero The Great Escape fue superado por el álbum de Oasis, (What's The Story) Morning Glory? en las ventas. Casualmente, en "Country House" se incluyen las líneas "He's got morning glory/And life's a different story" (Él tiene gloria de mañana/Y la vida es una historia diferente), que se asume es un pinchazo a Oasis. De todas maneras, Blur, de hecho, grabó la canción antes de que Oasis haya terminado, ni mucho menos estrenado, el álbum "Morning Glory".
