"Dead on Time", pertenece al séptimo álbum de Queen llamado Jazz. Fue escrito por Brian May, tiene características de la forma más rápida y agresiva guitarra por su autor, como una feroz batería tocada por Roger Taylor. Realizado a una vertiginosa velocidad, es considerado por la mayoría de los fans que se vive un número ideal, pero curiosamente nunca fue tocado en concierto; May solo incorporo fragmentos de el en sus solos de guitarra en el Jazz Tour. La canción se parece a "Keep Yourself Alive" de su primer álbum.

La canción termina con un sonido de rayo, seguido por Freddie Mercury gritando "You're dead!" ("Tu estas muerto"). El rayo fue grabado por May con una grabadora portátil durante una tormenta.
