Historia

Compuesta por David Foster y Linda Thompson en 1989, la canción es una balada con una orquestación rica y poderosa acerca del amor profundo y el compromiso, lo que resalta en versos como "I don't want to go where you don't follow" ("No quiero ir hacia donde tú no vayas") y "Stay in my arms if you dare/ or must I imagine you there/ Don't walk away from me/ I have nothing, nothing, if I don't have you" ("Quédate en mis brazos si te atreves/o deberé imaginar que estás allí/No te alejes de mí/No tengo nada, nada, si no te tengo").

La canción ha sido una elección popular en el programa buscatalentos de la televisión estadounidense American Idol. Sin embargo, no debe confundirse con "I Who Have Nothing" canción popularizada por los cantantes Ben E. King y Shirley Bassey.
