Lyman Abbott (18 de diciembre de 1835, Roxbury, Massachusetts - 22 de octubre de 1922, Nueva York) fue un pastor protestante estadounidense.

Hijo del escritor Jacob Abbott (18031879), dejó de ejercer leyes para estudiar teología y fue ordenado en 1860. Se convirtió en editor del Illustrated Christian Weekly en 1870 y jefe de redacción de la publicación Christian Union de Henry Ward Beecher en 1881.

En 1888 tomó el lugar de Henry Ward Beecher como pastor de la Iglesia de Plymouth, en Brooklyn. Fue el principal exponente del movimiento Evangelio Social, intentó aplicar la cristiandad en problemas sociales e industriales, rechazando tanto el socialismo como el liberalismo económico. Sobre otras problemáticas, Abbott presentó el punto de vista del protestantismo liberal evangélico.
