Rupert Friend (nació en Oxfordshire el 1 de octubre de 1981) es un actor inglés. Fue considerado " el nuevo talento excepcional" en los Premios satélite en el año 2005.

Su papel más famoso es posiblemente como Sr. Wickham en la película Orgullo y Prejuicio[1] donde conoció a Keira Knightley en el año 2005. Al igual que ella, también trabajó junto a Johnny Depp, en El Libertino,[2] como Billy Downs, un amigo joven y el amante de John Wilmot, segundo Conde de Rochester, papel que interpreta Johnny Depp. En el año 2006 leyó el libreto de la película de James Bond "Casino Royale", papel que lo involucraba en varias escenas de la película pero finalmente no se llevó a cabo su actuación.

Sus más recientes apariciones se dan en la película El niño con el Pijama a Rayas (2008)[3] en la que interpreta a Lt Kotler y en La joven Victoria en 2009, interpretando a Prince Albert.

Vida personal

Rupert Friend creció en Oxfordshire y estudió en la Escuela Marlborough en Woodstock. Luego asistió a la Escuela Cherwell y al Colegio d'Overbroeck en Oxford. También tomó clases en Webber Douglas, una Academia de Arte Dramático de Londres. Actualmente (2009) es la pareja sentimental de la actriz británica Keira Knightley.
