Vincent Priessnitz, también escrito como Vincenz Prießnitz (4 de octubre de 1799 - 28 de noviembre de 1851) dio origen a la medicina alternativa usando hidroterapia y la cura natural, hizo hincapié en recursos naturales como el aire fresco y el agua de montaña sobre la medicina convencional. Vivió en Gräfenberg (Lázně Jeseník), cerca de Freiwaldau (Jeseník), ahora parte de Silesia en la República Checa. En el siglo XIX estableció un spa mundialmente famoso.
