En la mitología griega Evadne es el nombre de dos personajes:

  • Una hija de Poseidón y madre de Yamo con Apolo. Estuvo tan avergonzada de su embarazo que dejó al niño abandonado a los elementos. Yamo sobrevivió y fundó la dinastía de los yámidas, una familia de sacerdotes de Olimpia.
  • Una hija de Ifis y esposa de Capaneo, con quien tuvo a Esténelo. Su marido murió al ser alcanzado por un rayo en el asedio de Tebas. Evadne se suicidó arrojándose a su pira funeraria.[1]
