HMS Marlborough

Seis navíos de guerra de la Royal Navy han sido nombrados HMS Marlborough en honor a John Churchill, primer duque de Marlborough:

  • 1706, luchó en la Guerra de los Siete Años, estuvo presente en la escuadra que bajo el mando de Sir George Pocock capturó La Havana en 1762, Se hundió en el mar en 1762.
  • 1767. Luchó en la Guerra de la Independencia de los Estados Unidos, fue gravemente dañado en el Glorioso Primero de Junio en 1794, y se hundió en 1800.
  • 1807 y desguazado en 1835.
  • 1855, renombrado Vernon II en 1904, se hundió rumbo al desguace en 1924.
  • HMS Marlborough fue un acorazado de clase Iron Duke construido en 1912 que luchó en la Batalla de Jutlandia en 1916 y fue dado de baja en 1932. Este buque, evacuó a los miembros supervivientes de la familia Romanov de la península de Crimea durante la Guerra Civil Rusa.
  • Tipo 23 botada en 1989.
