Katrina Leskanich, nacida el 10 de abril de 1960 en Topeka, Estados Unidos, es una cantante estadounidense.

Vida

El padre de Katrina, era un coronel de la fuerza aérea estadounidense y Katrina y su familia tuvo que vivir en: Nuevo México, California, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Alemania y Holanda, para, finalmente instalarse en el Reino Unido donde vive desde hace 30 años.

Katrina vive junto a su mujer, Sher Harper, con la cual se casó mediante una Unión Civil en Mayo de 2008 en Brighton. ^{[1] [2]}

Fama

En 1981 Katrina se convirtió en la vocalista de la banda Katrina & The Waves, que ha tenido varios éxitos internacionales como "Walking on sunshine" (1985), "Sun Street", "Do You Want Crying" o "Que te Quiero". En 1997, ganaron el Festival de la Canción de Eurovisión con la canción Love Shine A Light.

Carrera de Solista

Cuando Katrina & The Waves se disolvió, Katrina empezó una carrera en solitario como discjockey en la BBC 2, después de eso, lanzó varios álbums. En 2005, quiso volver al Festival de la Canción de Eurovisión por Suecia con la canción "As If Tomorrow Will Never Come". Ese mismo año presentó el festival Congratulations junto a Renārs Kaupers.
