Pierre Attaignant (o Attaingnant) (1494? - 1551?); compositor, luthier y editor francés de música del Renacimiento

En 1528 puso a punto un sistema de tipos móviles para notación musical que permitía imprimir las notas y los pentagramas en una sola operación. Fue el primer impresor francés de música, obteniendo en 1538 el título de impresor del Rey.

Los trabajos que publicó incluyen tablaturas para instrumentos de tecla y para laúd, música vocal, preludios, etc. A pesar de que sus recopilaciones incluyeron compositores diversos, dedicó cinco a obras de Clément Janequin y una a obras de Josquin des Prés.
