Landing on Water es el decimosexto álbum de estudio del músico canadiense Neil Young, publicado en 1986.

El álbum supone el retorno de Young a la música rock tras experimentar con el rockabilly, la música electrónica y el country durante los últimos años. Nuevamente, Young trabajó sólo, sin la ayuda de su habitual banda, Crazy Horse, cuya última colaboración data de 1981 con la publicación de Re-ac-tor.

La recepción de Landing on Water fue generalmente crítica, citando principalmente el evidente sonido ochentero de la batería, la pobre producción y la escasa calidad de las canciones. Otra interpretación, favorable al álbum, radica en el intento por parte de Young de molestar a David Geffen, propietario de Geffen Records, por querellarse contra él a causa de sus "trabajos no comerciales e inusuales".
