Sting in the Tail es el decimoséptimo álbum de estudio de la banda alemana Scorpions, que salió publicado el 19 de marzo de 2010 en Europa (14 de marzo en Grecia) y el 23 de marzo en América del Norte.[2] [3] El 25 de enero de 2010 Scorpions anunció su retirada de los escenarios, por lo que este álbum será su último trabajo de estudio.[4] El proceso de grabación se llevó a cabo en Hannover y Estocolmo,[4] el nombre provisto para este disco iba ser Humanity: Hour II, lo que finalmente fue rechazado. El álbum contiene un dúo con la cantante finlandesa de metal sinfónico, Tarja Turunen en la canción "The Good Die Young".

Las ventas del disco en su primera semana en los EE.UU. alcanzó las 18.500 unidades. En el 2010, el disco obtuvo disco de oro y posteriormente disco de platino en Alemania. Además fue escogido disco del año por el sitio web classicrockrevisited.com.[5]
