Argumento

Las investigaciones del climatólogo Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid) indican que el calentamiento global podría desencadenar un repentino y catastrófico cambio climático de la Tierra, que prodria generarse una nueva era de hielo. Mientras Jack advierte a la Casa Blanca del inminente cambio climático, su hijo Sam (Jake Gyllenhaal) y sus amigos se encuentran atrapados en Nueva York, donde han participado en un concurso académico entre institutos.
